Born and raised in Seymour, Mayor Craig Luedeman is the son of Mike and Rita Luedeman and the grandson of Harry and Faye Luedeman. In November of 2009 he married Spring Hosmer. They are the parents of two children. Craig is a graduate of Immanuel Lutheran School and a 1994 graduate of Seymour High School. After high school, he attended Marian College earning a B.S. degree in Business Administration. He has also attended H & R Block Tax School, Indiana Real Estate School, and Level I and II Indiana Assessor/Appraiser Training.
In the community, Mayor Luedeman is an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, serving as a member of their Board of Elders, and has been Seymour Chamber member, United Way Government Representative for Drive Team, and a member of Indiana Assessors Association. He is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Jackson County.
Craig was serving his second term as Jackson Township Assessor, when elected Mayor.
As a part of his campaign, he is quoted as saying; “I will use my education and financial experience to guide the City of Seymour into a new beginning of economic responsibility by looking at innovative ways to strengthen our financial future of the city. I will be a full-time mayor dedicating all of my efforts to the growth and prosperity of Seymour. With the support of the citizens of Seymour, the assistance of strong department heads and a visionary City Council, I will help restore the City of Seymour to the thriving community that it should be.”
